Nowadays it is of great importance to be able to prove abilities and knowledge with officially recognised certificates. The Cervantes Institute evaluates and certifies knowledge of the Spanish language with the Certificate for Spanish as a foreign language.
Levels There are three levels, in which the Exam can be taken
- New: A1
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Advanced

Who can take part in the exams? Anybody, who does not speak Spanish as his mother tongue.
Exam Centres There are more than 300 exam centres in more than 90 countries, where you can enrol yourself and take the exam.
Dates of the exam 2009 Every year there are two ordinary exam periods, May and November and one extraordinary exam period August.

Period of enrolment: March 2 till April 16 (including both dates) in Spain until April 18.
