Our school is now fully adapted for handicapped students or visitors.
We hold the International Symbol of Access (ISA) which requires the following:

a parking space reserved for vehicles used by disabled people or Blue Badge holders
pavements with ramp access
a public toilet with facilities for the disabled
easy access between all areas e.g. classrooms, Café and toilets
a reception desk adapted for wheelchair users
ramps from the school to street level with access to local shops

The Academy is situated in the area of La Paz in Puerto de la Cruz which is built on a plateau above the town. It is well served with pedestrian crossings, wheelchair friendly pavements and ramps. The town has taxis which are either suitable for wheelchairs users or are adapted for easy transfer.
There are two hotels that provide ramp access and many have special rooms adapted for the disabled and ramp access to the swimming pool.

The RIU Garoé Hotel is situated close to the school and it is easy to reach the school from there.
The Tenerife Playa Hotel is on the coast in front of the Martiánez beach.

The Academy café has recently been redecorated and has a large sun terrace on the same level as the classrooms. Everyone can enjoy the delicious coffee, snacks and hot meals at prices the rest of Europe can only dream of. All year round you can sit outside and enjoy the spectacular view up to Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain.
